Demonstrate continuing employment, permission to work fully remotely from Spain and compliant social security coverage.

Prepare proof of income

Client

Match contracts, payslips or invoices to the bank receipts. Check the threshold: €2,442 gross per month for the principal applicant, plus €915.75 for the first family member and €305.25 for each additional family member.

Address an income shortfall

Obtain apostilles or legalisation and sworn translations

For foreign public documents, confirm the required apostille or consular legalisation and obtain a Spanish sworn translation from a traductor-intérprete jurado.

Prepare an explanation of changed conditions

File the residence renewal with UGE

This is not a renewal. During the final 60 days of the valid visa, file the initial international telework residence authorisation.

Monitor the decision and any request for additional evidence

Check electronic notifications regularly. If UGE requests corrections or additional evidence, prepare the response within the stated deadline, normally 10 days.

Obtain the new TIE after approval

Book the fingerprint appointment and prepare EX-17, passport, previous TIE, approval decision, photograph and paid form 790 code 012.
